Jesus Enters Jerusalem

As Jesus and his disciples came near Jerusalem, he sent two disciples into the village ahead. He told them they would find a donkey with her colt, and asked them to untie them and bring them to him. The disciples did as he said. They put their cloaks on the donkeys, and Jesus sat on them.

A very large crowd was full of joy. Some spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and laid them along the way. They shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred. People asked, "Who is this?" The crowds answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee."
