Biblia Yangu is for families. We collect as little as we can, show no adverts, and never sell anyone's data.

Who we are
Biblia Yangu is a brand of Protend, a company registered in Tanzania.
The Biblia Yangu app
The app works without an account. When a parent signs in, we keep their phone number, and the phone type and app version for sign-in security. A parent can add children with a nickname, a picture from our set and an age band only — no full name, birth date or photo. We keep where each child got to, their favourite stories and where they stopped listening, so it is the same on all the family's phones. The app does not ask for location, contacts, camera or microphone, and has no adverts. It also sends anonymous usage statistics (such as how many stories were read) so we can improve it; a parent can switch them off in the Parent area.
The website
When you order a book we need a name, a phone number and a delivery address. If you join the newsletter we keep your email (and phone, if you give it) and what you chose to hear about. The website uses Google Analytics to see which pages are visited.
What we use it for
Sending SMS confirmation codes, delivering your orders, giving you the books you bought, keeping children's progress in step across your phones, and sending only the news you asked for.
Who we share it with
Only the providers who help us: Beem Africa (SMS), Amazon SES (email), Cloudflare (storing book pictures and audio), our server hosts, and Google Analytics for the website. We never sell or rent anyone's data.
Children
Children never have accounts. A parent adds their profiles and can change or delete them at any time. The parent area in the app is locked behind a sum.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete the account. Sales records are kept as long as tax law requires, without your name or number once the account is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. You can delete your account yourself in the app or on the Delete account page.
